From a NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts communique:
Amid this national defeat - believe it or not - I do have some good news. On Tuesday, we elected a pro-choice House of Representatives for the first time in our state's history!

it's all about the local politics at this point.
especially when it comes to reproductive rights, because we all know if roe v. wade goes down, the decision to outlaw abortion falls to the states. luckily in massachusetts, with our state constitution and the way the state supreme judicial court interprets it, we're not likely to outlaw it. fingers crossed it never even comes to that.
I dunno. It's gonna be a tough Senate battle if Sandra D resigns. And it doesn't help that Sen. Harry Reid, the likely new minority leader, is anti-choice. Though he's admittedly confusing in his anti-choice-ness. He has led efforts to filibuster yucky nominees, but was also one of only 5 or so Dems to vote against a bill reaffirming the principles of Roe v. Wade a few years back.
I'm very worried about the court. The Supreme Court most of all, but let's face it, a lot of the federal circuit appeals courts are a mess already. It is all so very scary.
